True Patriotism

I love spending money. Not for myself, mind you. I spend it for America. With every penny I throw away I can practically feel the earth tremble from the jump-start I send to the economy. You can thank me later, for now I need help deciding what I should waste my money on next.

1. New sneakers.

One day I would love to be a sophisticated woman with a refined wardrobe, but for now I am still young and Comme des Garcon's limited edition Converse high tops will suite me just fine. Besides, sneakers are an essential wardrobe staple, right? RIGHT?

2. New Phone

Eh. Who am I kidding? I'm just going to loose it. Or break it.

3. Sunglasses

I have wanted these sunglasses for so long and now they're finally available to purchase!

Too bad Mary-Kate and Madonna have already snagged them... And heaven knows I don't want to end up looking like them.

Yeesh.

4. Food/Utilities/Rent/Car Payments/Tuition

Hmmm.. Decisions, decisions! So much money, so little time! I'm just so rich I can't stand it!!!

So here's the final product from our family portrait session. I have to say, with only five photographs to work from—two of those being unusable due to bad focus—I'd say this turned out pretty well. It did require all of my photoshop skillzz though. Every last ounce.

Ran across this in my many webwanderings. Thought you whippersnappers would get a kick out of it. Pretty catchy actually. I predict Bumbu Sauce has a bright future (if they don't get shwacked by a Predator, that is...)

I'm still not sure what they heck they're talking about, but its kinda catchy. David's guys should like this.

Actually, there's a serious side to this. I think there's a whole wave of music coming out of the Islamic world, made by young, restless Muslims. And they're NOT extremist crazies. Kind of like the 50s and 60s in the West. Would make a cool term paper for someone to tackle, Ginny.

Trueblood: THE MOVIE

My family is the greatest. Sometimes I wish I could share our greatness with the whole world, so I'm working on a screenplay about my family. It'll make you laugh and cry and probably cringe a little, but that's how life as a Trueblood goes and that's what I think will really rake in the dough at the box office.

Here's who would star in Trueblood: THE MOVIE

Russell Crowe as Tad

I chose Russell to be the head of the family because he's a real bad ass and that's what it takes to be the head of the family.

Cindy Crawford as Cindy

I actually think my mom is prettier, but she can't act and I don't want her messing up my movie.

Jack White as Alek

Jack White is probably the only person cool enough to play Alek. Only in my movie he'd have shorter hair and a conquistador mustache.

Grace Kelly as Corinne

She was the classiest lady I could think of.

Cate Blanchett as Houston

She was the only person I could think of that was skinny enough. I'd butch her up a little for my movie, but not too much 'cause Houston always looks real nice. But if she can play Dylan, she can do Houston.

Trixie as Megan

The only character in the world that's cute enough and has big enough eyes.

Channing Tatum as David

The obvious choice here was to have McLovin play David, but I think Channing better captures David's sensitive side. In my movie he would always wear that army-green wife-beater, but he'd also wear really short shorts and hiking boots wherever he goes.

Maggie Gyllenhaal as Me

She was the only person I could think of that has that same adorable button nose.

Keira Knightley as Riley

She's cute enough to play Riley, but we'd definitely have to leave her in a tanning booth for a couple of days.

New Apartment!

Hey guys!

Megan and I have most of our stuff moved in to our new apartment. It's really cool! You all have to come see it some time. Megan will love to show you the huge sinks and I will show you the studio room.

Mr. Nibs is adjusting very well. We haven't let him outside yet, but he's still having fun exploring the ever-changing landscape of boxes and furniture.

Some really good news is that our landlord is letting us take care of the yard for a discount of $80 a month! That's awesome! We're negotiating for reimbursements for supplies like weed killer and fertilizer, but I think they'll be willing to chip in that much. Hopefully we'll have the yard looking green in no time! There's a really cool side-yard with a huge walnut tree that's perfect for picnics and barbecues.

We'll take some pictures soon and post them here for everyone to see.

Oh, and we're planning on visiting for the 24th of July weekend, so we'll see you all then!

Now when I'm reading the directions to my assignments in my head, it sounds like this:

I think this class is making me dumber.

Hey guys!

We made this blog so we could all keep in touch and let everyone know what's going on in our day-to-day lives. Post pictures! Share stories! Tell jokes! Poke fun! Be a joke clown!

Megan and I just had fun on a triple date with Christian, his girlfriend (yes, he has a real girlfriend now), our friend Kimball and Megan's cousin Adrienne. We did a root beer taste test and everyone loved it! Virgil's took first place, with Boylan, Thomas Kemper, and Sprecher tying for second. My favorite is Sprecher—Megan's is Boylan.

By the way, we highly suggest you all go see Up! immediately. Right away. I mean, stop reading this and go to the theater now....
